As your doula, I’m your steady, experienced support system from pregnancy through the fourth trimester. I provide:
Physical comfort for labor (positioning, touch, relaxation, breathing, soothing techniques)
Emotional support when things feel intense or uncertain
Clear, evidence-based guidance so you understand your options—not what you “should” do
Partner coaching so both of you feel connected and confident instead of scared or unsure
Continuity of care that most Knoxville medical practices simply don’t have time for
My role is to help you feel seen, heard, respected, and supported in any birth setting—hospital, birth center, or homebirth.

What if we want doula support but are worried about the cost?

Do you take insurance?

 But—I never want finances to be the thing standing between you and the support you deserve.

When should I book postpartum doula care or classes?

Earlier than most people think.
Postpartum doulas often book months in advance, especially for daytime and overnight care. Classes also tend to fill quickly—particularly for families expecting during busy seasons.
Ideally:
Postpartum care is booked in the second trimester
Classes are taken in the late second or early third trimester
Planning sessions happen before you feel rushed or overwhelmed
Planning ahead gives you more options—and more peace of mind.

Will hiring you replace my partner during birth?

Never.
Your partner is the heart of your support team—I simply make sure they never feel lost, helpless, or unsure of what to do.
I help your partner:

Stay emotionally regulated, present, and involved
Understand what’s happening and what choices may come up

No—and here’s why:
Childbirth education teaches you the “what” and “why.”
A doula supports you through the “how” and “what now?”

Think of classes as your study guide, and a doula as the person who helps you stay calm, grounded, and prepared during the test.
If you want both, I offer holistic, physiology-centered childbirth, postpartum, and newborn classes—privately or in small groups—in Knoxville or virtually.

Absolutely—yes, yes, and YES.
Doulas don’t support “natural birth.”
 We support your birth.
Whether you’re preparing for an unmedicated birth, scheduling an induction, planning for an epidural, or wanting a calmer, more family-centered cesarean, you deserve support that meets you where you are.
I’ve supported:
Hospital births with epidurals
Inductions (Pitocin, cervical ripening, all variations)
Planned and unplanned cesareans (c-sections)

Out-of-hospital births
There is no one “right” way to give birth—just the way that feels safest and most aligned for you.
